
First-Place BEST OF FAIR: Dante Severini
Dante was one of five competitors that we sent to the 2016 Canada Wide Science Fair held in Montreal.

Dante's research project tracked stomach acidity and its effects on the coatings of various drug capsules.
To be effective, most pharmaceuticals must survive passage through the stomach and reach the intestines before dissolving.

First-place Junior
and Second-place Best of Fair: Daphné Dupuis & Mya St. Jean
Daphné & Mya were two of five competitors that we sent this year
to the 2016 Canada Wide Science Fair held in Montreal.
Daphné and Mya presented "Power UP!", an analysis
of wind turbine efficiency, for which they won
one of two Professional Engineers of Ontario Awards
— for the second time —
in addition to their Best-of-Fair placements.

Benjamin Cohen Family Memorial Trophy Winner: Emma Adams
As Third-place Best of Fair, Emma was also sent to compete
at the 2016 Canada Wide Science Fair held in Montreal.
Emma Adams of St. Mary's College took Third-place Best of Fair for "Now You See Me", a project inspired by her volunteer work at the Entomica Insectarium.
(Emma was also the TENARIS Award winner for First Place - Intermediate project AND winner
of the Gary Rahn Award for Natural History.)

Junior finish – fourth-place overall – and final
entry into the Canada Wide Science Fair.
